Abstract

Airsoft is an activity that uses replica weapons and uses plastik BB (ball bearing) bullets. The BB bullets for this research process were obtained and collected from an indoor shooting range. The BB bullets collected do not go through the recycling process so that they have the potential to become plastik waste. This research aims to obtain material and texture characteristics from the processing of BB bullet waste so that it can be applied to airsoftgun accessories products and can reduce the accumulation of plastik waste, make products that have selling value and become alternative materials for airsoftgun accessories. The experimental method was chosen in this research to get the right technique to process BB bullets into a product with material characteristics that are hard, moldable, waterproof, and produce a textured surface visually and physically. The processed BB bullet material is added with several materials such as fabrics, fibers to add to the construction. The results of material research are then applied to product design using design methods such as SCAMPER, sketching, 3d models and prototypes for the manufacture of handguard cover and handstop grip products. This product is designed by applying the concept of texture, non-identical, precision and military industry.
